US President Donald Trump decided to announce several high-profile cases.
The American leader signed an order declassifying documents about the assassinations of the 35th President of the United States John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General must submit a full release plan within the next 15 days. This was reported on the White House website.
More than 50 years after the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy, and Pastor Martin Luther King, Jr., the federal government has not released all of its records related to these events to the public. Their families and the American people deserve transparency and the truth, the American leader said.
Recall that the 35th President of the United States, John Kennedy, was shot and killed on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. And prominent civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.
