Rafael Grossi noted that Tehran recently accelerated uranium enrichment to the 60% level.

Iran now has 200 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% with no impurities. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated this at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Reuters reports.

“Currently, Iran has about 200 kg of uranium enriched to 60% without impurities, and it almost corresponds to the 90% required for the production level of weapons,” said the general director.

This amount of nuclear material, if further enriched, could be enough to produce five nuclear warheads.

Grossi noted that Iran recently accelerated uranium enrichment to 60%, increasing production rates sevenfold.

As we have already written, Iran, contrary to international requirements, has again increased its uranium reserves, enriched almost to the level of weapons level.
