The hacker group Silent Crow announced that it gained access to the data of Rostelecom users.
User data from the largest provider in Russia – the company Rostelecom – fell into the hands of hackers and was published online. This was reported by the data leak detection and darknet monitoring service DLBI.
According to their information, the hacking was done by the Silent Crow group, known for attacks on Rosreestr, Clients Club Alfa-Bank And AlfaInsurance-Life. Hackers gained access to information from the main website Rostelecom (company.rt.ru) and company procurement platforms (zakupki.rostelecom.ru).
As evidence, the hackers provided tables with data from registered users and requests made through a form on the site. The data in the tables began on September 20, 2024. In total, 154 thousand unique email addresses and 101 thousand phone numbers of Russian citizens fell into the hands of hackers.
SA Rostelecom leak confirmed. Preliminarily, it may have come from the infrastructure of one of the contractors, the Russian company said, noting that it is taking measures to eliminate the identified threats.
We remind you that unknown hackers announced the hacking of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of Russia (Rosregister) and published a fragment of the database. The department denied the leak.
