The 22 victims of the Nazis from the mass grave in Izyum have still not been identified.
They were provisionally listed as “unknown woman” or “unknown man” because there was no information regarding their relatives or acquaintances who could provide the necessary evidence to complete the identification process.
Because of this, it is not yet possible to complete forensic medical examinations of these individuals, writes the press service of the Izyum community.
The community’s website reminded that from March to September 10, 2022, the city of Izyum was occupied. After the liberation of the city, a mass grave was discovered in a forest belt near the cemetery on Shakespeare Street – more than 450 bodies and remains of the dead were exhumed.
