The Russian Army is creating a strike force south of Pokrovsk.
The central group of Russian troops concentrated a strike force, including units of the 2nd and 41st combined arms armies, south of the city. This decision by the Russian command indicates that the invaders may change the priorities of tactical targets in the Pokrovsky direction. This is stated in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Military analysts said the enemy wants to create conditions to use more favorable directions to advance closer to the city from the flanks.
The report also states that in the rear of the Pokrovsky direction, units of the 15th and 30th motorized rifle brigades, as well as the 348th motorized rifle regiment, are now resting and recovering. it is possible that troops will appear south of Pokrovsk in the coming weeks.
Let us remind you that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the most difficult situation at the front is now in the Pokrovsky direction. Here, the Russian occupiers attacked 98 times, but these assaults were stopped by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
