A unit of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a carefully planned operation to destroy the enemy group, which a few days ago captured and shot two soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The MTR Command announced this today, January 17, on its Facebook page.
When the MTR operators moved out to carry out special actions, they destroyed part of the firing squad and forced others to surrender, the MTR said. — The captured Russians were marines from the 40th Arctic Brigade.
It is noted that the Russians admitted during interrogation that they had captured two military TROs and reported this to their company commander, who radioed in to order the execution of the Ukrainian military.
The TRO fighters heard this and started to run, but Russian soldiers with the call signs “Yaroy”, “Lebed”, “Boom” and “Bely” immediately opened fire on them. The last three MTR operators were destroyed during special operations, but “Yary”, along with two others, were captured. They are already giving evidence,” the MTR noted.
It is noted that all the prisoners turned out to be contract soldiers who serve in the Russian army for only a month and a half.
The execution of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Convention and is a war crime. There will be a well-deserved punishment for everyone who commits war crimes against Ukraine. We continue to work,” the MTR summarized.
