The legendary American film director, musician, artist and actor David Lynch died at the age of 78. His family announced it on Facebook.
Lynch directed a series of award-winning films, including Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Mulholland Drive, and the iconic American television series Twin Peaks.
He received three Academy Award nominations for Best Director (Blue Velvet, The Elephant Man and Mulholland Drive) and received an honorary Academy Award for Special Achievement in 2019. He also won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival for Wild at Heart in 1990.
Let’s remember that in 2024, the American director David Lynch spoke openly about his critical health condition for the first time. He admitted that due to emphysema caused by years of smoking, he was forced to move around with an oxygen mask.
It was also reported that the famous German chess player Robert Huebner died at the age of 76. The cause of death was a long battle with cancer.
