Two Ukrainians contacted Romanian rescuers through a friend in Germany, who was asked to call the rescue service.
Two Ukrainian citizens got lost in the Maramures mountains in eastern Romania. Romanian rescuers started the search. The Romanian rescue service reported this on Facebook.
It was noted that two Ukrainians contacted Romanian rescuers through a friend in Germany, who was asked to call the rescue service. Through him, they reported that they were “unable to move, exhausted after several days and nights in the mountains, they were frozen and had no food or liquid with them.”
“Unfortunately, we do not know the exact location of the Ukrainians, but we only have vague information about where they came from on Romanian territory,” rescuers said.
We remind you that three Ukrainians who got lost in the mountains were found alive in Romania.
It was previously reported that a man detained in Transcarpathia had been wandering the mountains for three days, trying to cross the Romanian border illegally.
