As a result of the fall, Pope Francis suffered a hematoma on his right arm, but no fracture.
Pope Francis fell in his residence in Santa Marta on January 16 and injured his right hand. EFE reported this in relation to the Press Hall of the Holy See.
It was noted that as a result of the fall, the pontiff suffered a hematoma on his right arm, however, for safety reasons, a post-traumatic bandage was applied to his arm.
Representatives of the Press Hall noted that the collapse did not affect Francis’ work schedule;
This is the second fall of the Pope in a short time – on December 7, the pontiff appeared with a large hematoma at the level of his chin. The head of the Hall of Press of the Holy See, Matteo Bruni, said that Francis was beaten by hitting the bedside table.
Francis is known to have severe pain in his right knee that makes it difficult for him to walk so he often appears in public in a wheelchair or with a cane.
Let’s remember that earlier in Rome, a Spanish activist, along with three other demonstrators, tried to jump on the motorcade of Pope Francis.
