Scottish authorities are closing the program for the reception of Ukrainian refugees for three months due to lack of suitable housing. This was reported by The Guardian on Monday, July 11th.
“People who have fled to Scotland and those who are coming in the coming months will be given shelter and support for as long as they need it,” the government said in a statement.
According to media reports, 7,000 citizens of Ukraine came to Scotland, 4,666 of them under the “super sponsorship scheme”, launched on March 18.
At the same time, it was indicated that 18,000 more people applied.
As reported, Ukrainians continue to return in large numbers from abroad – more than 36,000 people entered Ukraine just the previous day.
