Minsk has decided to increase the flight restriction zone with Belarus, reports local Telegram channels.
The ruling regime of Belarus has lifted a flight restriction zone in the country and now planes are banned from flying even over Minsk. This was reported by the monitoring group Belaruska So on its Telegram channel on Monday, July 11.
The report says an additional flight restriction zone has been introduced in Belarus since Monday. It extends to Minsk, Brest, the southern half of the Minsk region, and partly also to the Mogilev and Gomel regions.
The restriction will last until July 14, the group said. They also added that the restriction does not apply to aviation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, aircraft flying at Minsk National Airport and the airports of Gomel and Brest.

Recall that a Russian A-50 airborne early warning system (AWACS) aircraft, as well as fighters, were lifted into the skies over Belarus.
It was previously reported that Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency extended the ban on flights to the south of the country until July 12.
In addition, the European Commission has blacklisted 21 Russian airlines, the largest of which are Aeroflot, Russia, Pobeda, UTair, S7.
