The Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 12076 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service” on the specifics of registering Ukrainian citizens as conscripts and their medical examination when they undergo basic combined arms training.
People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this today, January 9, in his Telegram channel.
298 people’s representatives voted for the corresponding decision.
People’s Deputy Alexey Goncharenko noted in his Telegram channel that the Rada also supported his amendment to this bill, which stipulates that basic military training for women will be only voluntary and that they should be registered with the military exclusively voluntarily.
Also, this bill allows young men who are now turning 18 years old abroad to register without coming to Ukraine, Goncharenko added.
