Trump’s spokesman is committed to finding a solution to ending the war in Ukraine within 100 days of his inauguration.
The newly elected US President’s Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, aims to try to find a solution to the war within 100 days of Donald Trump’s inauguration. He said this in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, January 8.
Kellogg emphasized that both Trump and himself know they have “little time” to find a solution to Russia’s all-out war against Ukraine.
“People need to understand: he is not trying to give something to Putin or the Russians, he is really trying to save the sovereignty of Ukraine and he guarantees that it is fair and honest,” he stressed.
A Trump adviser said Biden’s “biggest mistake” was refusing to talk to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin after 2022, while Trump is determined to do so.
According to Kellogg, Trump will be able to offer an acceptable solution to Putin and Zelensky “in the short term.”
“When I talk about the short term, I like to set a goal on a personal level, on a professional level, I would say, let’s set it at 100 days and go from there,” he said.
We remind you that Kellogg has planned a visit to Kyiv in early January. But that trip, which was supposed to be the first visit to Ukraine by new Trump administration officials, was postponed. Kellogg is expected to arrive in Kyiv after Trump’s inauguration.
