Because of his pro-Ukrainian position, the young man endured interrogations, threats and persecution from the Russian occupation authorities.
Thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA presidential initiative and the ongoing work of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights team, it is possible to return a 17-year-old boy from the temporarily occupied Kherson region. The head of Kherson OVA, Alexander Prokudin, announced this on January 8.
According to him, due to his pro-Ukrainian position, the young man survived interrogations, threats and persecution from the Russian occupation authorities.
Now the man receives support: psychological, financial, humanitarian.
We remind you that in 2024, thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, Ukraine brought home 449 Ukrainian children who were illegally deported, forcibly displaced or detained in the temporarily occupied territories.
It was previously reported that five Ukrainian children and their families were able to return to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
