A territorial defense officer forced his subordinates to build him a private house.
Employees of the DBI, in cooperation with the SBU, completed a pre-trial investigation against the former commander of the regional directorate of the territorial defense forces “South”, who forced his subordinates to build him a private house. The State Bureau of Investigation reported this on Facebook on January 6.
Law enforcement officers established that in 2023, the officer involved three military personnel in the construction of his estate. They spent more than a year building the house, while receiving additional payments for supposedly performing combat missions on the front line.
The official has already been dismissed from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is accused of abuse of official position – Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces a penalty of up to six years in prison.
Let us remind you that on January 2, the State Bureau of Investigation confirmed that it had begun an investigation into the situation in the 155th mechanized brigade “Anna Kyiv”.
One of the leaders responsible for forming the brigade died of a heart attack, and the brigade commander was fired immediately after the brigade entered the battle. Before the brigade fired the first shot, 1,700 servicemen left it without permission.
