Two paratroopers of the 79th Assault Brigade captured 14 occupiers after one assault.
The assault group of the 79th separate assault brigade came close to one of the Russian positions. The operation was carried out with the support of attack UAVs, which had previously worked effectively against hostile positions. Under heavy fire, the invaders were forced to huddle in a cramped dugout. The Air Assault Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook on January 4.
After this, two Ukrainian Armed Forces attack aircraft threw grenades directly at the entrance to the enemy dugout. The frightened Russians threw away their weapons and raised their hands. All 14 enemies were captured.
At that time, as it turned out, there were 14 occupiers in the position. They chose life over death – and our paratroopers did not refuse them, the military noted.
The published footage shows how two paratroopers calmly and confidently lead the prisoners out, demonstrating professionalism and determination.
Let us recall that in December, soldiers of the 77th separate airmobile Dnieper brigade, together with related units, were able to capture 11 Russian invaders. And the Ukrainian defenders were able to do this without firing a shot.
