No permit had been issued for UAV flights in the area at the time of the incident, police said.
In Denmark, around 20 unidentified drones were discovered in the port of Køge. This was reported by The Associated Press on Saturday, January 4.
According to the local police, the incident happened last night. Law enforcement saw four large drones over the pier. And according to a witness who called the police, there were about 20 drones in the air, which then disappeared quickly in Köge Bay, located southwest of Copenhagen.
Police are trying to establish the exact number of drones, as well as their identity. However, no permits for UAV flights in this area had been issued at the time of the incident.
Police are also investigating whether the case is related to other drone sightings in Denmark. The incident is being investigated amid growing security concerns in Europe over Russia’s hybrid attack and its war against Ukraine.
Let’s remember that in the United States unknown drones were discovered near military installations and territories associated with the elected 47th President Donald Trump.
Earlier in Germany, flights of unknown drones were recorded in an industrial zone in Schleswig-Holstein. According to the media, they may have been launched by Russian agents.
