The process of formation and training in the Anna Kyiv brigade was accompanied by constant “chaos”. As a result, the poorly trained and ill-equipped brigade suffered serious losses.
With the creation and support of the 155th brigade “Anna Kyiv”, which was trained in France, “chaos” arose, which caused, in particular, many desertions. Journalist Yuri Butusov spoke about it. Material from the study of these problems was also published by Suspilne.
Now the new brigade is fighting in the hottest direction – Pokrovsky.
As reported, in October the 155th brigade “Anna Kyiv” left for training in France. 1924 military personnel were sent there.
According to Butusov, the brigade, which was formed as part of a large-scale project to create new military units, faced a number of problems. In particular, most of the military personnel sent for training do not have enough experience, and some have never undergone basic training.
It was noted that of the 1,924 military personnel undergoing training, only 51 military personnel had more than one year of service experience, 459 had served less than one year, and the majority – 1,414 people – were recruits who had not yet two months. of service. About 150 more fighters were enrolled in the training even without undergoing basic training. And while in France, about 50 military personnel left.
Despite this, the majority of military personnel still complete training. In September-November, the brigade was filled with more than 4,000 recruits recruited through territorial recruitment centers without proper selection.
As Butusov wrote, the command commission of the Ground Forces blamed the military flight to France on the brigade commander Ryumshin, who was accused of insufficient work with the personnel. He, as well as several staff officers and battalion commanders, were dismissed. The new commanders had no idea about the situation in the brigade, which led to greater chaos in management.
In the first week of December, even before the fighting began, 198 cases of unauthorized abandonment of a unit (SOCH) were recorded. And as combat missions began, personnel casualties increased due to poor organization and inadequate training.
Butusov also said that the brigade was not provided with the necessary equipment. It received no drones or electronic warfare equipment, and the mortars issued were defective.
Despite the difficult conditions, most of the fighters tried to fulfill their duties. However, due to the mistakes and negligence of the command, according to Butusov, the 155th brigade suffered heavy losses from the very beginning of the battle.
The journalist accused Ukraine’s top leadership of poor organization, noting that such “political projects” cost military lives and significant government resources.
The State Bureau of Investigation informed Suspilny that they had begun an investigation under the articles of abuse of power and desertion:
“The DBI is certainly studying the facts presented to the media within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Article 426-1 (exceeding the power or official authority of a military person) and Article 408 ( -leave) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine continues. Discuss any It is too early for preliminary results.
As reported, France should train and fully equip the Ukrainian brigade “Anna Kyiv”.
