North Korean military personnel are suffering serious losses in the Kursk region, but their effectiveness on the battlefield is low.
The US Department of Defense said that they do not see significant effectiveness in the participation of the North Korean military in the battles against the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. North Korean forces are suffering heavy losses. The Deputy Press Secretary of the US Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh, said this in a briefing on Monday, December 30.
He noted that the Pentagon agrees with the recently announced assessment of the administration of President Joe Biden on the number of casualties from North Korean soldiers during the battle in the Kursk region.
“The White House recently announced that around 1,000 (DPRK) soldiers were killed or wounded in the Kursk area. This is also our estimate,” Singh said.
The deputy Pentagon spokeswoman added that North Korean military strikes in the region “have not proven to be significantly effective.”
According to Singh, North Korean military personnel are suffering “significant numbers” of casualties in the Kursk region.
Let’s remember that a few days ago the White House announced that in the last week alone the DPRK lost 1,000 soldiers, and there is also evidence of suicides.
