Thus, the EU intends to protect their meetings from “Russian or other spies,” the material said.
The European Union has decided to build a secret negotiation bunker in Brussels. EUobserver writes about this in connection with the EU memorandum describing the project.
As indicated, the room will be disconnected from the Internet, but will have indoor conference technology with large screens and microphones connected to booths for 30 interpreters.
At the same time, the conference room and the booths will be covered with a NATO -certified insulating frame to “reduce the risk of exploitation of electromagnetic pulse emissions” generated by IT screens and wires – to protect against remote blocking of signal.
According to the project, which is estimated at eight million euros, the bunker is designed for approximately 100 people – 34 heads of state, the same number of recorders, as well as maintenance personnel.
It was noted that in this way the EU intends to protect their meetings from “Russian or other spies.”
It will be recalled that on July 3, 70 employees of the Russian embassy left Bulgaria, declared persona non grata due to association with special services.
In Moscow, they threatened to sever ties with Sofia.
