The aggressor country of Russia began to use AI in the production of Shahed drones.
To increase the effectiveness of kamikaze drone attacks, the Russians are using artificial intelligence. The enemy does this in order to complicate the jamming of these UAVs. The corresponding statement was made by the representative of Ukraine in the European Union, Vsevolod Chentsov, Politico reports.
The Russians also “taught” these kamikaze drones to recognize targets. So even when the Shahed is unplugged and flying autonomously, it still sees an object that resembles a power plant.
The ambassador emphasized that Ukraine needs Western-made interceptor missiles, because Russia is attacking energy infrastructure and residential areas with drones and missiles.
And, unfortunately, attacks are becoming more and more sophisticated,” Chentsov noted.
Let us recall that the Russian Alabuga plant in Tatarstan a year earlier fulfilled a contract for the production of 6 thousand UAVs of the Shahed-136 type. The plant has also been producing low-tech decoy drones known as Gerbers since the summer. 10 thousand of these drones.
