Kyiv received about half a billion dollars more from Western partners.
Ukraine received $485 million. United States of America and the World Bank within the framework of the PEACE in Ukraine project. Of these, 465 million dollars. provided by the United States through USAID, and another 20 million came from the World Bank. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal announced this on December 27 in Telegram.
According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, the funds raised will be used to compensate for social and humanitarian expenses of the state budget.
“Thank you to the United States, USAID and the World Bank for the significant support of the Ukrainians,” the head of government wrote.
Let us recall that on December 24, Japan and Great Britain transferred $1 billion to Ukraine, the money came under guarantees from the British and Japanese governments as part of the World Bank’s DPL program.
On the same day, $1 billion was received from the United States, which was secured by income from frozen Russian assets. This was the first tranche of the planned $20 billion that the United States is ready to allocate through the use of immobilized Russian assets as part of the G7 initiative.
