In Ukraine, they are working to create conditions so that preparation for participation in hostilities lasts two months.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky announced this today, December 27, in his Telegram channel following the results of the final annual meeting on the training of military personnel.
Now we are working to create conditions so that preparation for participation in hostilities lasts 2 months. After all, high-quality training means, first of all, the preserved life and health of our soldiers,” he noted.
According to Syrsky, there are already the first graduations of military personnel who underwent basic general military training (BZIN) for 1.5 months – instead of the previous 30-day training. The subsequent beginner course in a military unit lasts 5-14 days.
However, in the current conditions of intense hostilities, this requirement is not always followed, Syrsky noted.
He noted the need to ensure a full 14-day adaptation period for recruits in brigades. Commanders must prepare soldiers as best they can for the challenges of modern warfare to keep them in combat, he added.
During the meeting, Syrsky also heard reports on training problems and their solutions.
Identified tasks to improve the quality of training and its expansion. In particular, updating the BZIN standards, conducting BSOP on the funds of combat brigades, etc., added Syrsky. — Thanks to the commanders who are responsible for the training and retention of personnel.
