In Dnieper, unknown vandals destroyed a memorial plaque to Vyacheslav Chornovil on the boulevard named after him.
According to the head of the Dnieper Society of Political Prisoners and Repressed People, Ivan Dremlyuga, the disappearance of the board was discovered by a group of activists when they came to the site to honor the memory of Chornovil.
The board has stood since the early 2000s.
It is unknown when exactly she disappeared.
The board was mounted with glue and mounted on screws, that is, it could not fall on its own, it was well secured and hung for more than twenty years,” Dremlyuga wrote on social networks.
According to Ivan Dremlyuga, the activists decided to restore the board through their own efforts, perhaps with a different design. This will require about 4.5 thousand hryvnia.
They announced a fundraiser, almost half has already been collected.
Subsequently, a bust or memorial ensemble in memory of Chornovol may be installed at this place.
