Russia delivered a combined strike against Ukrainian fuel and energy sector facilities on the night of December 25.
The enemy used various types of air, land and sea-based missiles, as well as Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of simulator drones. In total, radio engineering troops detected and escorted 184 enemy air targets. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
In particular, the enemy fired two KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region, 10 S-300/S-400 guided anti-aircraft missiles from the Belgorod region, and 12 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea. In addition, Tu-95ms strategic bombers launched 50 Kh-101/Kh-55cm cruise missiles from the Volgograd region and the Caspian Sea. Russian tactical aviation launched four X-59/X-69 guided missiles from the Belgorod region.
106 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types were launched from the areas of Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine. As of 12.00, damage to 113 air targets was known:
- 55 cruise missiles Kh-101, Kh-55cm, “Caliber”;
- 4 X-59/X-69 guided aircraft missiles;
- 54 “Shahed” attack UAVs/simulator drones of various types, another 52 did not reach their targets (locally lost).
The Russians attacked Ukrainian energy facilities in Kharkov, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporozhye. Unfortunately, the result of the Russian attack is defeat.
Let us recall that on December 25, DTEK announced a massive Russian attack on thermal power plants. As a result of the massive attack, the equipment of the thermal power plant was seriously damaged.
The Ukrenergo company introduced blackout schedules across Ukraine and called on citizens to save electricity.
