The largest trident of the grandfathers in Ukraine was installed in Lviv – its height is more than seven meters.
Last year, this trident was included in the Book of Records of Ukraine. It consists of about 340 grandfathers, woven together by wounded servicemen of the 80th separate air assault Galician brigade. The press service of the Lviv City Council reported this on December 24.
Ukrainian defenders carried out the work under the guidance of 91-year-old craftswoman Pelagia Zhivko. This woman weaved grandfather every year at Christmas. During her life, she survived several wars, deportation and imprisonment.
For me, this trident is the most important in life, and in the life of our Ukraine. He went through Kazakhstan, I knitted everywhere. how we weaved this trident together. And God grant that we wait for our victory together,” she said.
Grandfathers made from rye, oats and wheat. The wounded soldiers who had a hand in its creation said that it was a kind of art therapy for them.
Let us recall that last year Reuters showed how Ukrainian soldiers near Kupyansk in the Kharkov region celebrated Christmas Eve or Christmas Eve.
