The deputy head of the department, Ivan Gavrilyuk, explained that the document could not be given to the Rada yet because the military reserves had not been prepared.
The demobilization proposal was practically developed, but it could not be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada until the military reserves were ready. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk on Friday during the government questions in the Verkhovna Rada, which was broadcast through YouTube by the People’s Deputy Alexey Goncharenko.
“This draft law has been practically developed and is ready to be released and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada through the Cabinet of Ministers. But until we prepare reserves of military personnel to replace those fighting (currently) on the line of the conflict, it is almost impossible to do this, because it will lead to the loss of the state,” said the official.
Earlier, people’s representative Fyodor Venislavsky said that the term “demobilization” was not correct during the war – when it comes to additional grounds for dismissal from military service.
