Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is a war of attrition. And the Russians are used to its history, Trump’s spokesman said.
Ukraine and Russia are soon tired of war and ready to negotiate peace. This was said by the special representative of the newly elected US President Donald Trump for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, on Fox News.
“I think both sides are ready. Imagine a fight in a cage. You have two fighters and both want to win. You need a referee to separate them into corners, so I think President Donald Trump can do it. He has a vision of how To do this, he has enough strength to do it,” he said.
According to Kellogg, both sides are finally ready to come together and talk.
“I think it’s a perfect position for President Trump, and I think he’s going to be very good at it,” the special envoy added.
Kellogg also noted that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is a war of attrition. And the Russians have become familiar with its history.
“You never want to be involved in a fight of attrition with the Russians. Yes, historically they fight. They also fought during World War II by simply bombarding the enemy with their troops,” he said.
We remind you that according to media reports, Keith Kellogg will visit Ukraine in early January. Trump’s special envoy believes the war in Ukraine could be “resolved” in the coming months.
