The contract provides for the supply of several tens of thousands of 155-mm propellant charge modules of various types.
The German concern Rheinmetall entered into a contract with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense for the supply of propellant charge modules for 155 mm guns. The company’s press service reported this on Wednesday, December 18.
It is indicated that the value of the order placed in the fourth quarter of this year is approximately 9 million euros. This includes the supply of several tens of thousands of 155-mm propellant charge modules of various types. They will be delivered in January 2025.
“Rheinmetall is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of large-caliber ammunition and fuel delivery systems. In modern artillery, shells and propellant charges are placed separately to achieve different firing ranges,” said the statement.
A day before it became known that Rheinmetall received an order to provide another 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine as part of military aid.
It was previously reported that the first Rheinmetall plant has started operating in Ukraine. They plan to launch a second one soon. There should be four such businesses in total.
