The Russians attributed the murder of the general in the center of Moscow to a citizen of Uzbekistan. He came to Moscow on instructions from the Ukrainian special services.
The Investigative Committee of Russia reported that the suspect is 29 years old. It was he who allegedly committed the terrorist attack, which resulted in the death of the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Igor Kirillov, and his assistant, Ilya Polikarpov.
During interrogation, he explained that he was recruited by the Ukrainian secret services, the Russian Nazis said in a statement.
The husband allegedly arrived in Moscow, bought a scooter and received an improvised explosive device. He placed it on an electric scooter, parked at the entrance of a residential building where the Russian general lived.
Before this, the man suspected by the Russians rented a car in which he installed a video surveillance camera. Filming from this camera was broadcast online to Dnepr. After receiving a video signal about servicemen leaving the entrance, the explosive device was remotely detonated. This version is being spread by Russian propagandists.
