Security forces detained the Chairman of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRAIL) Ivan Rudy.
He is suspected of facilitating the activities of Russian online casinos in Ukraine, Ukrainian media reported, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
Ivan Ryzhiy is a former military man and took part in the fighting in eastern Ukraine in 2014. Then he was wounded at the front, and after serving in the army he became the secretary of the Advisory Council for the Affairs of War Veterans and the Families of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
He also participated in the Invictus Games and was the captain of the Ukrainian national team at these competitions. And already in 2020, he headed the Gambling and Lotteries Regulatory Commission.
