According to him, the international train between the two countries will run three times a week: on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

North Korea halted transport links with all countries due to COVID-19 at the beginning of 2022, although North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said there has not been a single case of virus infection in the country.
It is indicated that, on the initiative of North Korea, the irregular passenger railway service was opened in June 2024. Since then, 1,200 people have traveled in both directions, according to Russian customs data.
