The Ukrainian military spoke about the percentage of FPV drones hitting hostile targets.
The effectiveness of using these types of UAVs in different units of the Defense Forces is 20-40%. The percentage of Russian occupiers is approximately the same. This was stated by the commander of a separate regiment of attack unmanned aerial systems, Robert Brovdi, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, it happens that the electronics in drones fail. And it also happens that the drone does not explode or detonates on the way to the target. A considerable percentage of drones are jammed by various electronic warfare systems. A certain percentage are shot down by small arms.
Therefore, the efficiency of the drone in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Russians is 20-40%,” Brovdi noted.
The officer emphasized that all cases when the drone reaches the target and hits it are recorded. Based on these facts, regiment statistics are compiled using our own methods.
Brovdi added that clear accounting allows one to navigate the effectiveness of unmanned vehicles and crews, since this is important for the targeted use of funds and the correct distribution of UAVs between units.
Let us remind you that the other day a Ukrainian FPV drone destroyed the communication system that the Russian invaders deployed near the front line. The UAV operators of the State Border Service performed professionally.
