The European Union has introduced a 15-pack of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The sanctions list included 54 individuals and 30 legal entities. In particular, two high-ranking officials from China are under restrictions. Sanctions have also been imposed against individuals from China and the DPRK. This was reported on the website of the Council of the European Union.
The new sanctions are designed to solve the problem of circumventing previous EU restrictions.
The EU Council added that they are introducing sanctions against the Russian military involved in the attack on Okhmatdyt, the management of companies in the energy sector, those responsible for the deportation of children, propaganda and circumvention of sanctions.
According to Politico, Russia’s shadow fleet, in addition to circumventing sanctions, helps transport tanks, fuel and other military equipment.
Let us recall that on December 11, the ambassadors of the European Union countries agreed on the 15th package of sanctions in response to Russian aggression against Ukraine. In particular, the sanctions are aimed at entities in Russia and third countries that indirectly contribute to the military and technological strengthening of Russia by circumventing export restrictions.
