The Kurakhovsky direction remains one of the hottest on the entire front of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Ukrainian military here is repelling the invaders, who have a significant advantage in personnel and equipment, attacking with the support of artillery and aviation. This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that since the beginning of today, December 15, 10 clashes have occurred in the Kurakhovo area. In an effort to capture Kurakhov at any cost, the enemy is conducting active assault operations on the southeastern outskirts of the city. At the same time, the enemy is trying to capture a road junction and an apartment building in its southern part.
For this purpose, as well as in order to seize important administrative and industrial facilities and structures located in the central part of the city, sabotage and reconnaissance groups are trying to infiltrate, the General Staff noted. There have been recorded cases of the use of DRGs under the guise of civilians. In order to prevent such enemy actions, the Defense Forces carry out counter-sabotage measures.
The General Staff also notes that Russia, along with the offensive of its troops on the ground, is actively implementing special operations in the information space.
