Rescuers are recording an increase in the number of fires arising as a result of problems with electrical networks.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 9,500 fires have occurred in Ukraine due to the emergency operation of power grids, resulting in the death of 12 people. This was announced by the spokesman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Alexander Khorunzhiy, at a briefing on Friday, December 13, UNN reports.
“Since the beginning of 2024, more than 9,500 fires have occurred as a result of emergency operating conditions of electrical networks,” he said.
Thus, 311 fires occurred from electricity storage devices, 90 fires from generators, and more than 103 fires from gas cartridges.
“As for the victims, 12 people died, including a child, and 83 were injured, including five children,” added Khorunzhiy.
We remind you that in the Kharkov region, due to the negligence of a woman, four of her sons and his father died. In the Rivne region, three children died as a result of the fire, and another child was injured.
