Earlier, the media reported that Macron would discuss with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk the deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine if the current phase of the war ends. Apparently 40 thousand military personnel are being talked about.
Meanwhile, the EU has not commented on Macron and Duda’s plans to discuss a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, but it is ready to coordinate all efforts. This was said by the representative of the European Commission, Anitta Gipper, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“Member states are meeting with each other, but our position is very clear when it comes to the EU: we will support Ukraine in every way necessary. Russia must pay for all the crimes committed. The High that Representative is also very clear throughout, as well as in her meetings and also when discussing that all options are under the table therefore, also when it comes to the topic you mentioned, we are also ready and available to coordinate all efforts,” she said.
