The Kiev city prosecutor’s office reported suspicion to five people due to the death of a young man on a cable car across the Dnieper.
Suspicions were received by the designer of the attraction, the director of the enterprise that won the competition for the arrangement of the rope crossing, an expert from a private expert institution that inspected the attraction, which has been managing the ropeway since 2024 as a sole proprietor, as well as a former technical supervision engineer at the Pleso enterprise.
The mistake that led to the break of the rope is that the designer of the attraction used a rope, which, due to its functional purpose, cannot be used for attractions, the capital’s prosecutor’s office reports, adding that the director of the company approved this technical project.
Let us remind you that in July the steel cable of the cable car broke while a 20-year-old guy was on the attraction – he fell into the Dnieper and died.
