The woman, tortured by the occupiers, escaped to Ukrainian-controlled territory and told her story of the crime.
The security service has identified a Russian war criminal involved in torturing Ukrainian civilians. The SBU press service reported this on Tuesday, December 10.
We are talking about Magomed Uzdorbiev, a militant of the special rapid reaction unit of the Russian Guard. Akhmat. At the beginning of a large-scale war, his unit took part in the capture of the village of Makeevka, Svatovsky district, Lugansk region.
To establish an occupation regime there, the Russians carried out so-called “clearance operations,” accompanied by the kidnapping of local residents and the theft of private property.
According to the investigation, on April 12, 2022, a group of Kadyrov’s men, which included Uzdorbiev, entered the house of a local elder. After the invaders found pro-Ukrainian patriotic photographs on her computer, they tied the woman up and took her to a torture chamber, which they built in a captured gymnasium on the territory of the community.
In the torture room, Uzdorbiev and his accomplices tortured the victim with an electric shock and beat him with a metal-plastic pipe. The riders then kept the woman handcuffed to the radiator for several hours.
During the torture, Kadyrov’s men demanded that he give them the residential addresses of the families of the Ukrainian defenders.
In the evening, the Russians allowed the woman to return home so that she could collect the necessary information for them for two days, under the threat of execution. However, the victim secretly escaped from the village to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Forensic medical examination confirmed that the victim suffered severe injuries as a result of torture.
SBU investigators informed Uzdorbiev of the suspicion.
We remind you that we now know about 137 thousand war crimes committed by Russia on the territory of Ukraine during a full-scale war.
