The Russians are intensifying their assaults in the Zaporozhye direction and are trying to break into the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The speaker of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, announced this on December 9.
According to the speaker, over the past two weeks the enemy has been intensively carrying out assault operations in small groups in the Vremiv sector.
Every day, up to 30 attacks using tanks and armored vehicles are recorded.
The enemy is trying to increase pressure and change the situation in its favor,” Voloshin said.
According to him, the Russian army has been preparing for assault operations for several weeks.
Within two weeks, the enemy had greatly intensified assault operations in small groups in the Vremiv direction. Every day 25 or even 30 assaults take place there. The enemy is using both tanks and armored fighting vehicles,” Voloshin said.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, similar preparations are now underway in the Orekhovsky direction. There, the Muscovites will try to regain control of what they lost during the Ukrainian counter-offensive in 2023 – Robotino – and go to Orekhovo to cut off the logistics routes of the Ukrainian group of troops, which is now located in the east of the Zaporozhye region.
And the enemy is also beginning to prepare similar assault groups using equipment for similar assault operations in the Gulyai-Polye direction. In the Orekhovsky direction, the transfer of personnel to forward positions is already underway. That is, he will soon begin similar actions there. According to intelligence data, the enemy is knocking out a fairly significant number of such infantry assault groups – up to a hundred,” Voloshin added.
