He will likely speak about his determination to continue serving the country and address the common interests of Britain and Ukraine until the autumn.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson today, July 7, intends to call President Volodymyr Zelensky after announcing his resignation. This was announced by The Daily Telegraph edition journalist Ben Riley-Smith on Twitter.
“Boris Johnson will speak to Ukrainian President Zelensky today following his resignation,” the journalist wrote.
According to him, this will be a statement of determination to continue the work (serve the country, resolve issues of public interest) until the autumn.
It will be recalled that, according to media reports, Johnson will now announce his resignation.
Johnson’s scandal erupted last week when it was learned that former British Deputy Foreign Secretary for European and U.S. Affairs, Christopher Pincher, while drunk, had solicited two men at a public institution. After the incident, a senior representative of the ruling Conservative Party in the House was forced to resign from his position, but journalists learned that Johnson had taken over Pincher and promoted him.
On the eve it was reported that in less than a day nearly four dozen members of the British government had written a letter of resignation.
