The Estonian defense industry company Frankenburg Technologies will begin testing anti-aircraft missiles developed by it in Ukraine in 2025.
An agreement to conduct tests has already been reached, reports the Estonian portal ERR.ee.
Frankenburg plans to initially produce several dozen rockets per week, and by the third quarter reach production volumes of several hundred rockets per week.
According to media reports, the company is developing relatively inexpensive missiles to shoot down drones that use artificial intelligence to destroy targets.
According to the company, its Mark 1 anti-aircraft missile should more effectively cope with Iranian Shahed-type kamikaze drones. It can hit targets flying at an altitude of 2 km – suicide bombers usually fly to this altitude.
Frankenburg is confident that the need for new weapons will not disappear even if a ceasefire is established in Ukraine.
