Within a month, the United States will send hundreds of thousands of additional artillery shells, thousands of missiles and hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine.
White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has promised that by mid-January the United States will send a large amount of shells, missiles and armored vehicles to Ukraine. He said this in a meeting with the head of the Presidential Office Andrei Yermak on Thursday, December 5, The Guardian reports.
It was noted that during the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, Sullivan promised to transfer hundreds of thousands of additional artillery shells, thousands of missiles and hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine. The United States will also assist Ukraine in the training of conscripts, which will be conducted abroad.
In addition, Sullivan recalled the practically implemented decision to provide Ukraine with a $20 billion loan guaranteed by Russian fixed assets.
A number of new sanctions against Russia were also announced, which will be introduced in the coming weeks. All of them aim to complicate the Russian Federation’s ability to support its military efforts and strengthen Ukraine’s position at the negotiating table.
It was previously reported that the United States will allocate a new military aid package to Ukraine worth $725 million.
