Ukraine accelerates the process of purchasing electronic warfare equipment and drones. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It was noted that in 2024, the first contracts from the Ministry of Defense were received by suppliers in less than three months from the date of codification: 82% of electronic warfare equipment; 41% of UAV types.

According to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmitry Klimenkov, the current policy of the Ministry of Defense aims to reduce the time between the codification of a product and its purchase.
“This is critical in ensuring an advantage on the battlefield More than 27% of electronic warfare assets were contracted in less than a month after codification, which indicates effective communication between the Ministry of Defense and manufacturers ,” he stressed.
According to the Ministry of Defense, 87 billion UAH will be allocated for the purchase of drones in 2024, of which 59 billion will be spent on long-term DeepStrikes.
Let’s remember, as the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov said, more than 30 thousand DeepStrike attack drones will be supplied to the Ukrainian military next year.
As reported, Ukraine is rapidly increasing the production of weapons, especially FPV drones and ground robotic systems. According to the Minister of Strategic Industries German Smetanin, the defense industry is capable of producing 4.5 million FPV drones.
