The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine has been informed about the situation with the General Director of the National Museum of History of Ukraine, Fyodor Androshchuk, who went to Sweden and is studying the circumstances to make a legal and informed decision.
This is stated in the ministry’s commentary to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine reports that it is aware of the situation related to the absence from the workplace of the General Director of the National Museum of History of Ukraine Fyodor Androshchuk and his non-return after a business trip abroad, the Ministry of Culture noted.
The ministry acts exclusively within the framework of the current legislation of Ukraine and is studying the circumstances of the current situation in order to make a legal and informed decision on this issue, the department added.
The ministry emphasized that they strive to ensure the stable operation of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine and the preservation of its unique cultural heritage, and added that they will provide official information on resolving this issue after completing all necessary procedures.
Let us remind you that today, December 5, people’s deputy from “Golos” Solomiya Bobrovskaya said that Androshchuk went on a business trip abroad and did not return. According to her, the business trip expired on September 20, and Androshchuk himself allegedly used the citizenship of another country.
Subsequently, in a commentary to the media, Androshchuk stated that he is a citizen of Sweden, and three months ago he submitted his resignation because the Ministry of Culture did not find an opportunity to extend his business trip.
