    Russian fleet leaves Syria amid fighting:

    Satellite photos show that several Russian ships left the Tartus base between December 1 and 3.

    The Russian service of Radio Liberty claims that they include two frigates, Admiral Gorshkov and Admiral Golovko, a patrol ship, a sea tanker and a medium sea tanker. OSINT analyst MT Anderson also writes about this.

    The withdrawal of the ships took place against the backdrop of a rebel offensive that began on November 27. On November 30, the Syrian military confirmed that the rebels had entered Aleppo and a number of other settlements in Idlib province.
