The allies are discussing the possibility of sending troops from their countries to the demarcation line in Ukraine to ensure security in the event of a negotiated ceasefire.
In order to establish peace on the territory of Ukraine, Kyiv must receive real security guarantees. This is what German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock said on Tuesday, December 3, writes Tagesschau.
“It must be a just peace, it must not be a freeze in the conflict, which leads only to further armament and only to further attacks on Ukraine or even on other European countries,” said Burbock.
At the same time, Burbock indicated that the allies continue to discuss the question of what “an international presence on the territory of Ukraine to ensure a ceasefire” could look like. He also did not rule out the participation of the German Armed Forces to keep the peace.
“Of course, Germany will do everything to support everything that will serve the world in the future,” added the foreign minister.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius considers it necessary to buy four more new submarines worth more than 4.5 billion euros due to threats from the Russian fleet.
We remind you that Germany does not exclude the possibility of war breaking out in Europe in the next five years, and therefore they are strengthening military training.
