Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed the first deaths of North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region.
Many North Korean soldiers will be sent to the front lines in the future, dictator Vladimir Putin will use them as cannon fodder. President Vladimir Zelensky said this on Sunday, December 1, in an interview with the Japanese news agency Kyodo.
The head of state, in a conversation with journalists, confirmed the liquidation of the DPRK military stationed in western Russia. At the same time, he did not say exactly how many North Korean troops sent to the Kursk region were killed or wounded in battles against Ukrainian forces.
The president noted that there is evidence that about 12,000 North Korean troops have been deployed, but Ukraine must have evidence before releasing the exact number of North Korean casualties.
Let’s remember that in early November, at a press conference following the summit of the European Political Community, Zelensky already confirmed the presence of the first losses of North Korean troops in the Kursk region.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, in a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, said that by giving permission to use Western long-range missiles on Russian territory, the United States intervened in the war in Ukraine.
As is known, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate, since October, the DPRK has transferred more than 100 artillery systems and 100 short-range ballistic missiles of the Kn-23/24 type to the Russian Federation.
