Defense Minister Rustem Umerov commented on army personnel decisions on Facebook on Friday, November 29. We are talking about the appointment of Major General Mikhail Drapaty as the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the commander of the 95th separate air assault brigade, Colonel Oleg Apostol, as deputy commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I am convinced that the newly appointed leaders, who have combat experience, will make every effort to ensure high-quality training of our military personnel and the effective implementation of tasks to protect Ukraine,” he said.
Umerov also thanked Lieutenant General Alexander Pavlyuk, who commanded the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, for his service. He emphasized that his contribution to the defense of our country in this difficult time deserves to be respected.
“We continue to strengthen the Armed Forces to achieve the main goal – victory in the war and restoration of the territorial integrity of our state,” the minister added.
