Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, 41 generals have been dismissed from the Ukrainian Armed Forces for health reasons. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in response to a request from Radio Liberty.
The data covers the period from February 24, 2022 to August 1, 2024.
“According to the information provided by the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the following was reported: during the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, in the period from 02/24/2022 to 08/01/ In 2024 , 41 senior officers were dismissed from military service for health reasons,” it said.
Also during this period, a military officer was accepted into military service.
The senior officer corps usually includes officers who hold strategic command positions or have the highest military rank, especially, major general, lieutenant general, colonel general.
